
The Lady Hawks' Honorary Coach at Tuesday night's game with West Mesquite was Peggy Jefferson. She has been teaching for 13 years, 10 years in Red Oak as an English teacher. She has been married to Tony for 7 years. Tony works for Holt Caterpillar. Peggy has 2 children, Drew, age 21, attending Tarleton State University and Darhyl, a freshman at Maypearl High School. Drew was recently named Mr. TSU and Darhyl plays basketball and softball and is involved in track.
Peggy says she loved being involved in sports when she was in school and now enjoys watching sports, "especially when I know the players...It always makes me proud to see my students representing Red Oak High School in such a positive way. It makes me proud to see them so dedicated."
Peggy loves spending time with her family and also likes to ride their motorcycle and travel whenever possible. Her favorite places are New Orleans and Hawaii. "I am very proud of the volleyball program here at Red Oak High School and wish the team as well as the coaches the best of luck throughout the season.....Make em' wear it girls!!!!!!"
