The Lady Hawks high school volleyball season kicks off Monday, August 2, 2010 at 7:00am SHARP with conditioning on the track. All volleyball players MUST turn in a completed physical form prior to participation!!! Click here for the form.

All volleyball players are required to pass a school-administered drug test.  Testing is scheduled at the high school on Monday, Aug. 2nd and Monday, Aug. 9th from 9am - 4pm.  Volleyball players need to take their test on Monday, Aug. 2nd in order to participate in 2-a-days!  The cost is $14 (checks payable to ROHS) and the required authorization form.  IMPORTANT NOTE -- In order to avoid standing in a long line, Coach Porter has arranged for volleyball players to "go to the front of the line"  IF they turn in their completed form and $14 to Coach Porter PRIOR to Monday!  So please be sure to get the authorization form and $$ to Coach Porter ASAP!! 

There is a MANDATORY parent meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 5th @ 6:30pm in the NEW high school gym.  All volleyball players are required to have at least one parent/guardian present.  The volleyball booster club has scheduled this month's meeting for immediately following the parent meeting.  Please plan to stay and find out what's happening and how you can SUPPORT OUR LADY HAWKS!!

Members of the Lady Hawks high school volleyball teams wrap up the Future Lady Hawks Volleyball camp with a picture.  The camp was held over the last 3 Sunday afternoons to teach future Lady Hawks basic volleyball skills.

The Lady Hawks Volleyball Booster Club will have a Car Wash this Saturday, July 17, at Ace Hardware on Ovilla Road from 10 am until 3 pm. Come have your car washed by the Lady Hawks!

Members of the Lady Hawks Volleyball teams worked hard at the car wash on Saturday washing 50 cars! Thanks to all who helped make it a huge success!

The Red Oak Lady Hawks Booster Club will be conducting a volleyball camp for Future Lady Hawks that will be in the 1st thru 6th grade next year. Participants of this camp will be taught basic volleyball skills and drills from current Red Oak High School volleyball players.

The camp will have three sessions held at the OLD Red Oak High School gym from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on July 11th, July 18th and July 25th. Cost for the camp is $20 per session or $50 for all three sessions. All participants registering for all three sessions by July 2nd will receive a T-shirt.

A new sports facility called Bob Knight's Fieldhouse has opened up in Duncanville at 1700 S. Main St. (it’s the old stars center off of Hwy 67).  A very knowledgeable and experienced coach is heading up the volleyball side of the organization.  They will be offering summer leagues, which will give our volleyball players here at Red Oak an opportunity to play together with their teammates for the upcoming year; they will also be having camps this summer as well as having the capacity to give some private lessons.  Mr. Michael Denardo will be here in Red Oak TUESDAY NIGHT, March 23, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Red Oak HS Gym to give us information and to answer any questions you might have about the facility and the opportunities it is making available to our kids.  Please come out and hear what he has to offer, this will be a great chance for those who were not able to play club to get some playing time between now and August 2, 2010, the first day of high school volleyball practice.  This is also open to intermediate and elementary age students male and female as well--so spread the word!

At the meeting of the RO Lady Hawks Volleyball Booster Club Monday night, Coach Porter announced the summer schedule for camps and workouts and distributed copies of the 2010 High School schedule. The 2010 season starts August 2 for the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity. The summer schedule is posted in the next column just below the pictures. Two more players signed college commitment letters this morning. Devan Guynes signed with Southwestern Assembly of God University (SAGU) in Waxahachie and Candace Halbert signed with Brookhaven College in Dallas.
